In view of the little amount of material published in Brazil regarding the relation locus of control enters and subjective well-being, is intended with this article to contribute for the inquiry of these two constructs. This work if considers to revise literature in this scope, beyond investigating the nature of the correlations between the subdimensions of locus of control (internality, other powerful ones and chance) and the sub-components of subjective well-being (positive satisfaction of life, happiness, affection and negative affection). Studied literature discloses that locus of internal control if correlates positively with the high levels of subjective well-being, what it leads to the conclusion of that people who believe its proper control on the events are people with high levels of subjective well-being
