Abstract

This article points out that the construction of the work regarding mental health evolves a symbolical repetition of the originary Freudian experience. It is considered the Other’s function, which the medical field represented for the freudian path, making the construction of the Psychoanalytic field feasible. It has been said that the mental health context provides the emergency of the identifications with the ideals of the medical field and, eventually, the psychoanalyst's resistance. It is emphasized that the psychoanalyst´s permanent formation is the reference capable of providing the supporting of the analyst’s desire and the presence of the analyst’s discourse in mental health institutions. It is concluded that the analyst’s role is providing the emergency of the lack from the meeting with the existing differences.
