AMORIM, Camila Miranda de  y  SZAPIRO, Ana Maria. The domestication of singularity.: reflections on the HIV/AIDS prevention speech paradigm. Estud. pesqui. psicol. [online]. 2008, vol.8, n.3, pp. 0-0. ISSN 1808-4281.

Reflecting about the HIV/Aids combat strategies, the prevention speech is being analized considering the subjective context characterized by the constitution of a permanent state of alert in regards to risk situations. We have been observing a life medicalization with the inclusion of the concept of risk administration in the health care field. A health life project emerges placed upon subjects and its consequence is a process of lifestyle standardization. The use of information as preventive strategies aims to behavior changes. In this hand, sexual practices have been goal of prescriptions which main aim is to transform them in secure practices through the knowledge about HIV prevention. However, preventive prescriptions related to the sexual practices are frequently underestimated by the strength of the subject’s desire dimension. From that standpoint, we consider that the power to change behaviors usually credited to the knowledge given in prevention requires what we call “singularities domestication”.
