Abstract

The purpose of his study was to search evidences of concurrent validity and for extreme groups for the Teste Pictórico de Memória. 204 students of Minas Gerais state participated, being 39,2% men and 60,8% women, aging from 17 to 56 years. The Pictórico de Memória and the Teste de Raciocínio Inferencial were collective administered. Concerning to the concurrent validity, the results showed positive and significant correlations varying from 0,34 to 0,56 and when it was controlled the age they ranged from 0,31 to 0,54. In relation to extreme groups, the students with high and low scores in the Teste de Raciocínio Inferencial had also better and lower scores in the Teste Pictórico de Memória respectively. Based on these results, it was concluded that the Teste Pictórico de Memória has a concurrent validity and extreme groups for.
