This paper is a result of an investigation accomplished in the Service of Applied Psychology of the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro and it had as objective to understand how the manners of living of the present time are contributing to the types demand that look for psychotherapy. Thinking about this, it were investigated 327  interviews reports with demands for individual psychotherapy. Through an initial analysis, it could be observed that the main demand referred to the difficulty of relating with the other ones, following by depression, panics and fears, and anxiety. So, it was possible to verify a narrow relationship between such a clinical demand and the current scenery feed on "fluidity", "urgency", "performance" and "technique". Such results appoint to the importance of understanding the clinical demand as a result of the relationship among man and social circumstances and not as an universal entity fragmented of our setting historical-social.
