The present study aims to describe the concept of social rhythm and theirs measurement types described in the literature under a historic perspective. Social rhythms is not like biological rhythms, however they interfere in the biological rhythms synchronization and they are characterized by regularly social zeitgebers exposure defined as external synchronic agent inserted in a determinated social context. Studying of social rhythm can bring reflexions about temporal organization of society, revealing the noxious effects of incompatibility between social demands and biologic rhythms in work field, clearing how the relationships can make impact in quality of life and allowing that people can think about their organization.
