Abstract

GOMES, Márcia Lucia Borges de Melo; LIMA, Suzana Canez da Cruz  and  MENDES, Ana Magnólia. Experience in clinic of work with training and development professionals from a public institution. Estud. pesqui. psicol. [online]. 2011, vol.11, n.3, pp. 841-855. ISSN 1808-4281.

The study reports on an experience in clinic of work with training and development professionals from a Federal Judicial Institution in Brazil, based on the principles of Psychodynamics of Work. It is a research modality that privileges the listening to suffering. Seven government employees participated in this study. Five group sessions were conducted and the data were analyzed based on the Nucleus of Meaning analysis, according to Mendes (2007). The results showed that in this working situation pleasure is a result of identification with the job and the perception of its utility for the workers own development in the organizational and social contexts, whereas suffering is proceeding from the lack of recognition at work. The main defensive strategies adopted by the subjects are isolation and individualism. It can be considered that the group experience favored the discussion practices and, thus, the enrollment and enhancement of subjectivity
