This article discusses, from a psychoanalytic perspective, as the play is as a way of treating the actual disease in children suffered from various types of cancer. Moth considerations play and symbolic, from the Freudian ideas to then discuss how Lacan thinks the play and its role in clinical work with children. From a fragment of a clinical case, attempts to demonstrate how the theoretical assumptions made and logical operators are used to treat cases of children being treated at the Institute of Pediatrics and Child Care Marzagão Gesteira.
