Abstract

TASSONI, Elvira Cristina Martins. Affection in the learning of reading and writing: an analysis based on the school reality. Estud. pesqui. psicol. [online]. 2013, vol.13, n.2, pp. 524-544. ISSN 1808-4281.

This paper presents research results that aimed to identify the students' feelings from Elementary School's early years, when facing the reading and writing activities in the classroom. This is a qualitative research of exploratory nature, held on a state public school in Campinas (SP). Data collection involved observation of the activities proposed in each class from the 1st to the 5th years and semi-structured interviews with part of the students of each class. The interviews identified how the activities affected the relation between the students and the writing and reading, through their interpretation of the proposed activities. The results pointed out some different feelings produced both during the teaching activities as well as in the relations with the teacher and the family, providing visibility to the experiences that may improve the affinity and the approach between the students and the reading and writing practices in the school.
