The objective of this study was to describe the sociodemographic profile and pattern of crack use among users in treatment in Psychosocial Care Center in six cities of macro region western Minas Gerais. Cross-sectional study with 40 crack users in treatment at Psychosocial Care Center. Data collection was done through structured interviews guided by a questionnaire and analysis of medical records. Crack users in treatment in Psychosocial Care Center are mostly male, young, unmarried and with low education. The average age of first use of crack is 26.45 ± 8.65 years with an average use time of 4.5 ± 3.75 years, most use the drug for less than five years. Despite the prevalence of psychiatric comorbidity, these results were not significant. The profile of crack users in macro region western Minas Gerais is similar to that found in different surveys conducted in Brazil.
