Participated in 211 subjects of both sexes, who were involved in various types of love relationships and answered Sternberg's Triangular Love Scale. Univariate analysis revealed significant differences in intimacy between age groups. In addition, the levels of passion, intimacy and commitment of men were higher than those of women. These results were discussed by the literature that addresses the Triangular Theory of Love.
