In this article we approach the affirmative action policy for entry into higher education in the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul through the network of associations composed of arguments and controversies in its implementation in the name of equality. For this we outline the procedures that form the access path to college through reservation of vacancies for social and ethnic racial aspect. We consider these procedures as the networks that connect technology, legal settlements, institutions and candidates for the entrance exam and therefore enacted realities and versions higher education. For the discussion we make use of cosmopolitics science studies on techno-social networks made by Latour, Stengers and Despret. We hope with this study, stimulating debate to face social inequalities by means of affirmative action in universities, understanding that is a debate that always generates controversy and is always adding other arguments and actions.

Keywords : affirmative action policy; tecnosocial network; cosmopolitic science.
