MENDES, Deise Maria Leal Fernandes; PESSOA, Luciana Fontes  y  CAVALCANTE, Lilia Iêda Chaves. Parental socialization goals of emotion and models of self: a conceptual articulation. Estud. pesqui. psicol. [online]. 2016, vol.16, n.2, pp. 450-468. ISSN 1808-4281.

This article discusses the importance of the articulation between the concepts of parental emotion oriented goals and the models of development of self.  To this end, we argue that the study of socialization goals necessarily refers to the investigation of what parents wish for their children in terms of their emotional experiences and the development of a more autonomous, related or related autonomous self. This approach, with the focus proposed, has not been commonly used in the scientific literature, given that there are not many studies dedicated to explore this association. Thinking about it, in this paper we propose a debate about the impact of parental goals on the children's emotional and self development, aiming to articulate these concepts. From this discussion, we expect to highlight the relevance of a new line of research in the field of developmental psychology to integrate these concepts that are usually unarticulated on the literature.

Palabras clave : goals; development; socialization; self; autonomy.
