This article discusses the specific symptom in psychoanalysis from the analysis of a case of anorexia. It delimits aspects of the case that show the contemporary clinic of malaise from the following subjects-axis: anorexia and adolescence; refusal to eat; relationship with father; and psychoanalysis and medicine. Taking into account these aspects, there is anorexia as an analytical symptom depending on the constitution of a demand analysis and transference relationship.
