On this paper we analyse the recognition at work. It refers to an extract of a PhD thesis which field work was developed at Center of Reference Specialized of Social Assistance (CREAS) in Aracaju-SE, Brasil. The psychossociology is the theoretical and methodological reference that supports the proposition of groups organized amongst professionals on the field of three CREAS, such as social educators, psychologists and social workers. The psychossociology discusses conflicts and the various forms of malaise in these contexts, where a socio-clinical regard and intervention are made possible. On this text we discuss the fieldwork paying attention to its social function, and also considering it as a device that gives access, or not, to social recognition.
