In this work, we analyze the narratives of black women on their hair, selfcare practices and appearence, which bring their experiences and reflections on how these (trans)formed their identities. The speeches analyzed were collected from blogs and news portals, available on the Internet, in texts dedicated to discuss racial relations, racism, black aesthetics and black feminisms. For the analysis, we take as theoretical referent the work of authors that discuss racial issues and processes of identity production. In the analysis of the material it was possible to think, from the perspective of these women, their processes of subjectivation since childhood, the relation with the older generations, and the daily aesthetic selfcare. In their narratives, dialogued with theoretical references that discuss processes of production of identity, as well as ethnic-racial relations, emerge experiences crossed by explicit and subtle episodes of racism. The results point to the need for a greater interlocution of Psychology with feminists and anti-racists references to theorize the processes of subjectivation of black women.
