Abstract

GOLDRAJCH, Danielle. Behavioural training with parents in shared custody. Rev. bras.ter. cogn. [online]. 2005, vol.1, n.1, pp. 111-118. ISSN 1808-5687.

The case describes a psychological assessment followed by a six month behavioral training with parents in a shared custody situation. The child was four years old and was living with both parents, each week with one of them in a different home. The parents’ relationship was remarkably aggressive and there was lack of communication abilities between them, leading to discontinuity of adequate care for the child. The purpose of the behavioral training was to improve those communication abilities, preparing parents to coordinate their efforts in an effective joint custody.
