PERGHER, Giovanni Kuckartz e STEIN, Lilian Milnitsky. Cognitive interview and cognitive-behavioral therapy: from forensics to clinical practice. Rev. bras.ter. cogn. [online]. 2005, vol.1, n.2, pp. 11-20. ISSN 1808-5687.
The current study examined some of the possible contributions of the Cognitive Interview (CI) to the Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (CBT). The CI is a forensic technique that can be used to elicit a more complete and accurate recall from eyewitnesses. The CI is based upon known psychological principles from Cognitive and Social Psychology. The CI is structured in different phases which contribute to its accomplishment as a whole. The authors suggest some possible benefits to the clinical practice of the application of the psychological principles and techniques of each CI phase, discussing the possibilities of integration of basic research and psychotherapy.
