This paper aims to discuss several questions, which are related to supervisor's role at psychological university centers, focused especially at the continuum between pure research and pure treatment. The basis for the discussion is first author ' long experience on developing research projects involving group psychotherapy with children and adolescents. Its starting point is the recognition of how important is, for students' formation, to practicing in research projects that closes the gap between theory and practice. Following Barlow, Hayes and Nelson-Gray's (1999) vision, present text main point of discussion is making a core distinction between treatment evaluation and treatment research. Each one of these strategies is limited and involves questions that supervisors and trainees should ask to themselves in order to verifying their research or treatment objectives are reached. To illustrate, some of these questions are answered based on present research project on development that absorbs both authors. The article is ended with a brief description of some alternatives for psychological attention on psychological university center. These alternatives created by authors' research team, in order to overcome institutional and student's formation difficulties, evidence multiple role supervisor that works in such places.
