This report presents the case of a female teenager with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). OCD is the fourth most frequent psychiatric disorder, affecting 1-3% of the population. The patient reports that the reasons she presents this disorder are the high number of medications she ingests everyday, learning difficulties, sleeping problems, and relationship problems with her classmates. Thus, the objective of this article is to present the patient’s previous and current history, as well as her diagnosis. In addition to that, the report highlights her history of treatment interruptions throughout her life, as well as her secondary gains. We will also present the adaptations utilized in the treatment of OCD, as well as the behavioral and cognitive techniques used.
