SOARES, Adriana Benevides  e  MELLO, Thatemana Valory dos Santos. Social skills among teachers and other professionals. Rev. bras.ter. cogn. [online]. 2009, vol.5, n.2, pp. 15-27. ISSN 1808-5687.

The objective of the study was to compare teacher’s social skills with other professionals (not teachers) social skills. The research included 527 participants: 264 teachers from kindergarten to university and 263 non teachers (other professionals). With regard to the other professionals, 64 were independent autonomous workers, 140 had an iployment bond, 56 worked both as independent and as an iployee and 3 did not answer. All participants filled the HIS-Del Prette (Del-Prette Social Skills Inventory). The results showed that in general teachers had more social skills than other   professionals, showing a rich repertoire of social skills. It may be that teachers acquire more experience and skills for relationship as they participate on their students learning process, developing mainly affective, relations and conversational skills when daily facing their students and colleagues
