There is a growing interest in issues with interface between spirituality and health, between psychology and religion. Some studies have discussed similarities in the context of clients or therapists religious/spiritual and in the interventions. One technique that has been highlighted in the interventions of cognitive-behavioral therapy is mindfulness. This article aims to present a brief literature review of the topic and, additionally present an interview with Donna Sudak, a psychiatrist with many scientific productions in cognitive-behavioral approach. In the interview due to her visit to Brazil during the International Workshop organized by the Brazilian Federation of Cognitive Therapies and the II Journey of Cognitive Behavior Therapies of São Paulo, Donna Sudak exposes her view about the approximation of cognitive therapy and spirituality, about acceptance, and also about the technique of mindfulness.
