This theoretical paper is about the Jeffrey Young Schema Therapy. It aims on introducing to Brazilian cognitive therapists the child treatment protocol developed by German School of Schema Therapy. The German protocol is the most complete model of intervention of schema modes that we currently have in the field of Schema Therapy for children and adolescents. The aim of this paper is to outline the theoretical adaptation of Young's model for children made by the German School and the therapeutic work that consists of advising parents and on intervention starting from a model of six interventional stages. It was possible to conclude that it is a theoretical and a comprehensive interventional model that can be used in Brazilian children with minor adaptations.

Keywords : children; intervention; schema therapy.
