In the elderly, empathic ability provides benefits such as the maintenance of support networks and learning processes. The objective of this work was to carry out a systematic review of the literature on Empathic Ability and elderly studies in the Brazilian context. Some databases were consulted for works in the last ten years. Only three meeting the established criteria. Aiming at the aging of the population, more works developed and published in this area are necessary in order to establish a scientific practice based on consistent and effective methods.
