GALDINO, Cleberson Borges Tenorio; ARAUJO, Camila Farias de  e  CANTILINO, Amaury. Mindfulness training in psychotherapists: a narrative review. Rev. bras.ter. cogn. [online]. 2018, vol.14, n.1, pp. 65-72. ISSN 1808-5687.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5935/1808-5687.20180009.

Mindfulness refers to a psychological process characterized by attention to the present moment, exercised intentionally, with an attitude of non-judgment, curiosity and kindness in relation to the own flow of experience. It is questionable, therefore, if the mindfulness training, devolopded by interventions based in mindfulness (IBMs), aplied by the therapist, could be able to bring benefits for the therapist, for the terapeutic relation or for the pacient. Therefore, this study wanted to review differents IBMs users, it's effects and discuss about the clinical and formative utility of the metod in question. A literature review involving IBMs aplied in psychoterapists has been made based in the databases PubMed and LILACS. As result, despite the small number of studies found for analysis and its methodological limitations, it was observed that promotion of mindfulness in psychotherapists in training can generate a number of benefits, both for the therapist (skills related to self-awareness, emotional regulation and attentional control) and the patient (reduction of psychopathological symptoms, greater self-understanding and development of problem solving skills).
