SOARES, Adriana Benevides et al. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: what do Psychology students think?. Rev. bras.ter. cogn. [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.2, pp. 99-106. ISSN 1808-5687.  http://dx.doi.org/10.5935/1808-5687.20200015.

This research aimed to identify the conceptions of Psychology students about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Twenty-one students from the sixth to the tenth periods of the Psychology course from two universities in the metropolitan region of the state of Rio de Janeiro participated, being nine students from a public institution and 12 from the private one. Two Focus Groups were performed in which sociodemographic data were also collected. For data analysis, the software Iramuteq was used. We analyzed 234 segments of text, and from the Descending Hierarchical Classification (DHC), 86,32% (202 units) were retained. The data obtained suggested six Classes (General Assumptions, Reductionist Nucleus, Focus of Action, Content Taught, Identification with the Approach and Learning Reference) that comprise the theme Articulations, Theory and Practice of CBT. The research contributes to a better elucidation of the CBT in Psychology graduations and a possible reformulation of contents in the curricula of the courses.
