This article deals with the issue of exclusion and its link with psychosis. The latter is considered here as a subjective defense and not simply through its psychiatric manifestations.  As a position of the subject in the structure of language, it implies the subjective undoing of the social bond, which leads the subject, in some particular conditions, to marginalization, that may be, at times, firm and irreversible. This argument will be illustrated by a case I consider as paradigmatic of this issue.
