Abstract

ROSA, Márcia. Elis Regina’s voice or the mourning work and its recording. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2008, vol.60, n.2, pp. 212-218. ISSN 1809-5267.

This article presents the work of mourning since the report of a clinical situation occurred in a psychoanalysis process and since an interview of a Brazilian popular singer and composer. Such situations lead to the theory of mourning built by Freud (1917) in the article "Mourning and melancholy" and to another reading of Freud’s article by Lacan (1959) in The desire and its interpretation. Particular attention is given to dreams, considered important in the work of mourning.

Keywords : The mourning work; Freud; Lacan.
