Abstract

This work aims at visualizing the way through which the curricula of Psychology courses show evidences that they educate professionals to work for the Brazilian Public Health System (SUS). First we analyze the bibliography references about the history of the construction of Psychology's professional courses. Subsequently we analyze the curricula of six Psychology courses. In those we identified subjects directed to health issues through three axes: the Biomedical Axis, the Psychological and Psycho-diagnostic Axis, and the Social and Community Psychology Axis. Thus, we intent to indicative by mergers and restructuring of curriculum content to address the issue of health to graduate professionals for SUS. This emergence came from the decree signed between the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, where the Psychology is regarded as field for graduate professional to work in the public health services
