Abstract

CHAUI-BERLINCK, Luciana. The therapeutic accompaniment and the psychologist formation: for an humanized health. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2010, vol.62, n.1, pp. 90-96. ISSN 1809-5267.

This article addresses some questions about the courses of Psychology in regard to the formation of the psychologist and his therapeutic expertise. In spite of the theoretical/pratical advances carried out by the Anti-Asylum Movement, the Psychology courses in Brazil don’t seem to have assimilated such results in their didatic/pedagogical programs. Nevertheless, it’s not enough to criticize but it’s necessary to introduce a new and creative perspective in order to obtain such a formation. We think that the innovation may be accomplished through the undertanding of the importance of including the teaching of Therapeutic Accompaniment during the courses of Psychology as a practice through which it’s possible to attain the humanization of those individuals socially segregated because of psychic difficulties. We conceive the TA as a means of social inclusion, to promote the psychologist as a professional aware of his role. To helps us in the creation of new forms of relating to alterity.
