Abstract

BERNARDES, Anita Guazzelli. Psychology and health: inquiring psychological practices. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2010, vol.62, n.3, pp. 23-32. ISSN 1809-5267.

This article aims at discussing the relationship between Psychology and Health. In order to do so, it considers the limit experience of the other as well as the psychological practices as its analysis vectors. It uses the contributions by Institutionalism as its field of reflection, in an interface with other conceptual tools, such as: ethics, politics and aesthetics. Firstly, the problematization of the relationship between Psychology and Health has caused the analysis of the submission of health to illness; secondly, on turning health into an analyzer of psychological practices, a field of technical unpredictability is generated, produced by new agencies, a limit experience of the other. Those new agencies are found in existential territories formed in the limits of possibilities of access to livelihood.

Keywords : psychological practices; health; analyzer; institutional analysis.
