Resumen

VILHENA, Junia de  y  ROSA, Carlos Mendes. The psychoanalytic clinic in open spaces of the CAPS. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2011, vol.63, n.3, pp.130-147. ISSN 1809-5267.

This paper reflects on the limits of psychoanalytic impasses within the public institution which was formed after the Psychiatric Reform, by questioning the links between psychoanalysis and the other knowledge and practices which are to be found within a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS). It revisits the historical role of psychiatric diagnosis in mental health, its distance from the philosophical and psychopathological field, and the current possibilities which such clinical insignia possess to express the patients´ suffering and uniqueness. It also questions the way in which psychoanalysis and psychoanalysts face up to the inclusion of this practice in institutional contexts, due to the differences in context and diversity of actors involved in the analytical process. It proposes a parallel between practices that focus on recovering the citizenship of the insane and the ideal sought by the clinic of subjectivity.

Palabras clave : Psychoanalysis; Subjectivity; Mental Health; CAPS.
