Abstract

PEREIRA, Sabrina Maura  and  LOURENCO, Lélio Moura. The bibliometric study about social anxiety disorder of university. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2012, vol.64, n.1, pp. 47-62. ISSN 1809-5267.

The Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) or Social Phobia (SP) is characterized by excessive anxiety and persists in situations of social interaction or performance. This study aimed to examine the articles indexed in Pubmed and Web of Science databases, between 2006 and 2010 and evaluate the bibliometric indicators of scientific literature related to Social Anxiety Disorder /Social Phobia in university students. The final sample consisted of 13 articles that met the subject studied. These articles present a quantitative methodology and the use of instruments SIAS, SPS, LSAS and SPIN SPQS in order to evaluate the FS. The results indicated that SAD is found in university students and that it interferes with the perception that the subject has of itself, evaluating its performance in a negative and critical way. It is suggested to carry out further analysis in other databases, so that the national and international scientific production can be examined systematically.
