Abstract

SILVA, Maura Lima Bezerra e  and  DIMENSTEIN, Magda Diniz Bezerra. Crisis management: referral and psychiatric hospitalization in question. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2014, vol.66, n.3, pp. 31-46. ISSN 1809-5267.

Attention to crisis is strategic in the Psychosocial Attention Network, being still challenging. Among resources used in a CAPS II in this field, referral to Psychiatric Emergency Service and admission in psychiatric hospital are discussed under the perspective of Psychosocial Care. An Intervention Research took place, relied on Institutional Analysis, using interviews and conversation groups with workers of the center. An implicated use of these resources was identified but also difficulties in the management of severe crisis. Weaknesses of the Network, as the lack of guarantee of night shelter and integral care couches, impose a narrowing of attention to crisis in the CAPS II. Connection between crisis and risk of danger emerges as a factor enhancing the construction of this response to the crisis. In this way, the difficulty of the network to build an integral and ongoing response to the crisis is highlighted, which problematizes guidelines and functioning of the psychosocial model.

Keywords : Attention to crisis; CAPS; Psychosocial Care.
