SIQUEIRA, Elizabete Regina Almeida de  e  QUEIROZ, Edilene Freire de. The singularity of a clinical case: a methodological proposal in psychoanalysis. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2014, vol.66, n.3, pp. 104-114. ISSN 1809-5267.

The aim of this article is to present a certain type of case study which focus is neither on the description itself of the treatment nor closer to a short story or novel. It has to do with a mark of case. As a methodological operator it is a tool which permits the researcher to identify what is beyond what has been observed, allowing the researcher to analyses data which were not collected by oneself, i.e., analyzing what has been said by someone else without missing its uniqueness. In order to do so, we make use of such methodology based on a clinical data reading of a person's speech which represented the peculiarity of basing his own self on his body chances. This was the mark of such case, which gave account of the meeting between structure and contingency, this meeting was related to that person`s enjoyment. So it is proposed that this mark of case, as it has been developed and made used of here, as a fruitful methodology for researches on psychoanalysis, as long as the focus is on a clinical matter.

Palavras-chave : Mark of case; Methodological operator; Clinical case; The name of the enjoyment.
