This article attempts to shed light on how contemporary unease affects the body. Indeed, the body occupies a special place amongst the objects reified by the decay of the social bond, the transgression of age-old prohibitions and the capitalistic discourse that characterize our hypermodern era. As a result, the question of what a body is has arisen (once again) in our western society with a particular accuracy. Contemporary art is a privileged arena in which one may raise this question, and/or offer some terrifying answers to it. The enigma of the body as we can see in La piel que habito (2011) by Almodovar. This film portrays the resistance of a subject that puts forward his real of jouissance against science and neo-liberalism.
