Abstract

NEVES, Tiago Iwasawa. The deformation of the concept of sexuality: Freud's epistemological route. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2016, vol.68, n.1, pp. 49-61. ISSN 1809-5267.

The article discusses the construction of the concept of sexuality in the early years of Freud's work. From the concept of deformation, fundamental concept in historical epistemology of Gaston Bachelard, we find moments of discoveries and dilemmas, both in theory and in clinical invented by Freud. Unlike an evolutionary perspective and continuationist spirit, the epistemic route outlined by Freud toward the formalization of the etiology of neurosis does not suggest anything other than the logic of the deformation of concepts, errors rectified and the assumption of increasingly refined hypotheses. Are changes in positions that produce new problems, in other words, characteristics of formation knowledge compatible with the scientific logic proposed by Bachelard.

Keywords : Sexuality; Deformation; Epistemology; Freud; Bachelard.
