Abstract

PINHEIRO, Francisco Pablo Huascar Aragão; COSTA, Maria de Fátima Vasconcelos da; MELO, Pamella Beserra de  and  AQUINO, Cassio Adriano Braz de. Clinic of Activity: concepts and theoretical foundations. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2016, vol.68, n.3, pp. 110-124. ISSN 1809-5267.

The clinic of activity emerged in the 1990s as a perspective of analysis and intervention on work. Given the increasing diffusion of this approach in Brazil, this paper intends to present some of its main concepts, namely, work and activity, considering its dialogue with the cultural-historical theory of Vygotsky and with the linguistic of Bakhtin. The interpretations about the gap between what the organization "determines" and what the worker "truly does" are highlighted from a counterpoint with the perspectives of the psychodynamics of work and of the ergonomics. For the clinic of activity, a dialectical solution to this gap is necessary, proposing to overcome the dichotomy between activity and subjectivity. The notion of work is discussed, highlighting its four dimensions: personal, interpersonal, transpersonal and impersonal. Finally, the concept of real activity, that includes the activity performed and the real of the activity, is discussed.

Keywords : Clinic of Activity; Work; Activity.
