Abstract

LACAZ, Alessandra Speranza. Challenges of militancy in the left: artifacts for insurgency. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2018, vol.70, n.spe, pp. 59-74. ISSN 1809-5267.

This article intends to discuss the relationship between some practices of militancy and the State, questioning the effects of this alliance on the effective social transformation and problematizing if such a bet does not work as a lubricant of the state machine, thus appeasing insurgencies by the population and the social movements themselves. As a way of thinking about this question, the text begins by considering the constitution of the state reason in the sixteenth century and of governmentality as a new political practice of control over the population that, over the centuries, has perfected its mechanisms and tactics. Subsequently, it analyzes the singularities of the emergence of the State in Brazil, passing through the notions of democracy, colonialism and matabilidade. Finally, it discusses the idea of the capture of the Form-State on the production of subjectivities and desire, bringing the idea of a war machine as a possibility of resistance.

Keywords : Militancy; State; Governmentality; Democracy; Production of subjectivity; War-machine.
