Abstract

MARAFON, Giovanna. Critical analyses to dismantle the term "gender ideology". Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2018, vol.70, n.spe, pp. 117-131. ISSN 1809-5267.

This article proposes a historical excavation of knowledge and discourses on the emergence of the term "gender theory/ ideology" and looks for points of genealogical discussion about power, starting from the present and analyzing the so-called "gender ideology" in its connecting aspects and effects of truth. It problematizes how the idea of putting gender knowledges and practices on the agenda was constituted as an ideology and it questions the assemblage that points to the exercise of pastoral power over behaviors. The article takes a look at the ways that gender has been conjugated and morally judged in the contemporary and it makes a critique of "gender theory/ideology" as a discursive production that has been reissued in Brazil, especially by the movement "School without political party".

Keywords : Gender ideology; Truth; Power; Genealogy; Gender studies.
