The research was developed from the conception that moral judgments and the political-ideological position have a logical structure based on values and that they develop in a parallel way. In these terms, the main objective of this research was to verify the political ideological position quality from the differences in the moral judgment of young Brazilians. The results confirmed the association between the differences in the quality of moral judgment and political ideological position: young people with conventional moral judgment supported a political position based on humanitarian values; young people with a postconventional moral judgment supported a political position based on the association between humanitarian and democratic values. From these results, it is concluded that young people with postconventional moral judgment have a more sophisticated political-ideological position.
