Resumen

KYMIU, Valdirene Nascimento da Silva OliveiraKamara  y  MORAES, Marcia. The inclusion of the indigenous people Pupkary/Apurinã in the contemporary context. Arq. bras. psicol. [online]. 2020, vol.72, n.spe, pp. 185-198. ISSN 1809-5267.  http://dx.doi.org/10.36482/1809-5267.arbp2020v72s1p.185-198.

This paper aims to discuss the inclusion of indigenous students with disabilities in municipal schools in villages where Pupỹkary/Apurinã live, in the municipality of Boca do Acre, in the south of the state of Amazonas. In this sense, we discuss how we can weave a relationship between disability, as defined by the Brazilian Inclusion Law and by the social activism of disability, and indigenous conceptions of disability, especially from the perspective of the worldview Pupỹkary/Apurinã. The question in focus took us to the field of inclusion: what are the meanings of inclusion for people with disabilities from the perspective of indigenous peoples, in particular Pupỹkary/Apurinã? We conclude by pointing out the urgency of affirming epistemic decolonial disobediences, which lead us to public policies aimed at indigenous people with disabilities that take into account the uniqueness of indigenous ways of life.
