This article is part of a master's research that aimed to characterize the Combat Network of Violence Against Women in a western center city of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Participants of the study were accessed by Snowball sampling method. The sample was constructed by indication from the participants themselves. The study included 11 participants from different sectors of the Combat front. The main strategies and difficulties highlighted by the participants in their work with the combat of violence against women were analyzed. The main difficulties were pointed out as: the lack of State investment; the restructuring/fragmentation of the Network; individualization/self-personalization of the work. The main strategies were pointed out as: construction of personal ways of strategies; development of personal ties of work; and the development of voluntary work to fill the gaps. The conclusions point to a depoliticized network, fragile and distant from its ideals of providing guaranteed citizenship.
