The ethical performance of the researcher is an issue that must be considered and discussed in all types of research that may involve human beings. In qualitative research, this is no different and requires extra care, since it will study subjectivity of the subjects to be studied. This study reflects on the ethical performance of the psychologist-researcher. For this, it uses as example a study involving issues of religious order. To make the issue clearer, it will be used examples from a research aimed to show in what sense the religious experience of Catholics could promote personal growth. In carrying out this study, it was used a qualitative approach and the phenomenological method of research.
