The purpose of this article is to present a reading of Christianity and the conversion of the Apostle Paul under the perspective of Analytical Psychology by Carl Gustav Jung (1875-1961). Religion, religious experience and their relationship with the archetypal symbols of the collective unconscious stand out in Jung's work. The importance that the author attributes to the various forms of religion and their symbols is in close connection with the appropriation of the individual based on the type and the psychic function involved. In its conception, the religious point of view always represents the psychological attitude and its specific prejudices. Jung considers that the predominant style in western man is extroversion and, in the case of the Christian, he is also extroverted in his religious attitude. Despite this, he manages to deal with and give expression to the psyche and its demands by appropriating the symbols, rites and dogmas found in religious institutions. Thus, we will present an understanding of Christianity and its main symbols: Christ and the Cross, and their relationship with the archetypal experience of the collective unconscious, that is, the experience of the numinous. To this end, we will appropriate the Apostle Paul's religious experience or numinous experience. This experience led him to a new understanding or a new state of consciousness that culminated in the process of individuation. In this way, this article aims to show that Analytical Psychology opens the eyes to the wealth of meaning found in symbols, rites, dogmas, and religious experience.
