Abstract

The article develops dimensions related to popular health knowledge of a category in Community Health emerging from an exploratory study of four cases of medical pediatricians from primary care level of the Public Health Services of the city of Rio Cuarto (Córdoba, Argentina) in the relationship established with consultant mothers living in poor settings. The analysis was carried out in sections: 1) Consideration of the problem of study, 2) Theoretical justifications, 3) Methodological aspects, 4) Results, 5) Discussion about the dynamics of the knowledge in the relationship pediatrician - mothers consultants and 6) Final reflections. These dimensions are analyzed as challenges that should take the current community health paradigm taking the proposals of theory of Paulo Freire (1970) and in light of the contributions of Souza Santos (2009).
