Abstract

RODRIGUES, Daniel  and  ZANIANI, Ednéia José Martins. The academic formation of the psychologist and the construction of the mode of Psychosocial Attention. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2017, vol.12, n.1, pp. 224-239. ISSN 1809-8908.

This work presents the results of a research on the academic formation in Psychology and its contribution to the construction of the proposal of Psychosocial Attention that guides the Mental Health Policy in Brazil. In order to do so, it was invested in two fronts of analysis: scientific productions, especially academic articles dealing with the subject, and were analyzed curricula of six undergraduate courses in Psychology, five of them being from public institutions and one from a private institution. In general, we observed the predominance in the curricula of contents related to public and collective health in the Mental Health-Basic Attention interface and, in an incipient way, other contents related to the historical path of the Brazilian psychiatric reform and care in the logic of Psychosocial Attention. It was concluded that professional formation, still based on the clinical model, liberal-private, moves towards the Public Health, gradually presenting its proposal and providing experiences in the substitutive network of mental health.

Keywords : psychologist formation; curriculum; psychosocial attention; psychiatric reform; mental health.
