Abstract

BARROS, Leonardo de Oliveira  and  MURGO, Camélia Santina. Adolescent career projects: contributions of an intervention in Vocational Guidance in a Reference Center of Social Assistance. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2017, vol.12, n.2, pp. 298-309. ISSN 1809-8908.

In career guidance processes (OP) it is essential to develop appropriate strategies to enable young people to reflect about their professional career. This paper aims to describe an intervention experience in OP conducted with 30 adolescents, users of a Reference Center in a small town in São Paulo State. Eight meetings were held making use of techniques of self-knowledge, recognition of skills, and information on professions, labor market and student scholarships. The intervention was evaluated positively by the adolescents. It demonstrates that the OP can be inserted into specialized services, enabling teenagers' access to programs aimed at planning to build career.
