Abstract

The quality of life is related to the physical and psychological health. The factors considered are the level of independence, social relationships, beliefs, beyond the relationship of these factors with the personal context in which the person lives. The experience report presents an intervention with the aim of verify the influence of the physical and psychological interventions in improving the quality of life for seniors. There were 22 elderly of both genders participating of this intervention. It was carried out pre-test and post-test to assess whether there were changes in some aspects related to quality of life. The experience consisted by physical exercises with concurrent training and operative group workshops. The activities lasted one semester, identifying a significant difference in the quality of item III from WHOQOL-Bref, with regard to social relations. The results indicated the importance of developing public policies to this audience.
