Abstract

DOS SANTOS, Thalita Mara. The work of the psychologist in Cras: different ways of caring. Pesqui. prát. psicossociais [online]. 2018, vol.13, n.1, pp. 1-11. ISSN 1809-8908.

This paper aims to discuss the concept of care in the field of Social Assistance, particularly in the Reference Center for Social Assistance (Cras), based on the psychoanalytic approach. Therefore, reflections based on the experience of the author as a psychologist in the Cras, along with the theoretical connections about different ways of caring and producing care in this place, are approached. The Psychology professional, in this context, works with the ability to listen to each case, being able to offer support from the understanding that the subject, as a member of a family and as a citizen, is responsible for himself and for others. Although the premise of psychoanalysis consists in not taking the subject as an object of tutelage, it can be said that it, Psychology and Social Assistance converge to the notion of "care" used in a broader sense.
